Come to Breaker Rock Beach as we join with First Methodist and First Presbyterian Churches to bring an exciting Vacation Bible School to the children of Ennis. VBS will run Tuesday-Friday from 9:00 am- 12:00pm and will be located at First Methodist Church. Click on this event for the button to register children ages 3- incoming 5th graders. After church, Fr. Julian’s father, Guillermo Borda, will give a talk on the spiritual need and benefits of stewardship in the Parish Hall. Lunch provided!
Fr. Julian and Kayla are getting married on Saturday, November 11th in Wilmore, Kentucky! Fr. Christopher Heying will be our guest preacher on Sunday, November 12th. (Fr. Julian and Kayla will return to Texas Monday evening.)
After church on Sunday, we will have a delicious Fish Fry to celebrate becoming a parish and to say farewell to longtime member Roger Pecinovsky as he moves back to Iowa. The Rev. Canon Christopher Brown, Canon to the Ordinary (Bishop Sumner’s #2), will be our guest preacher today!
St. Thomas is becoming a parish! That means that we’ve been growing a lot and are now able to cover all our own expenses without help from our Diocese. For this, we will get to march into our Diocese’ Annual Convention behind our new parish banner!
In lieu of Wednesday Evening Prayer, we will have a special Communion service at 6 pm on Wednesday, November 1st to celebrate all of God’s saints! Join us to give thanks for the saints in your life. Dinner to follow!
